We at Clever Corvids Productions are committed to principles of social justice, including equity and justice for all people. We strive to tell stories of combating and overcoming oppression and to uplift the voices and creations of marginalized people.
We do this by:
- Featuring charities that support marginalized people in our podcast episodes.
- Including accessibility in our websites and providing transcripts for all our podcasts.
- Committing to diversity in casting. With the exception of The Magpies (which ran prior to the founding of Clever Corvids), we will not have any casts that are all-white or all-cis.
- Hiring creators who are BIMPOC, disabled, and/or marginalized genders.
- Paying a fair market rate for any work we outsource for, crediting creators on our website, and promoting them on social media.
- Openly listening, sincerely apologizing, and making concrete changes when we make mistakes.
We acknowledge that, as North American settlers, we live, work, and create on land stolen from Indigenous people. The tribes on whose land we stand include:
- Miami Nation, Potawatomi Nation, Peoria Tribe, Kickapoo Tribe (Chicago, IL)
- Pawtucket Tribe, Massachusett Tribe (Boston, MA)
- Seminole Nation, Tocobaga Tribe (St. Petersburg, FL)
- Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (Santa Rosa, CA)
- Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Anishinabek Nation, Mississauga of the Credit First Nation, Wendake-Nionwentsïo (Toronto, ON)
